A Community Coffeehouse
Folsom St. Coffee Co. is a local, independent; family owned and operated business with a neighborhood focus.
Boulder's only true eco-friendly coffeehouse. Folsom St. Coffee Co. was awarded the Eco-Cycle award for 'Zero Waste or Darn Near' as well as the "Waste Reduction" award from the Center For Resource Conservation. We recycle, compost, and employ zero waste purchasing practices. We are P.A.C.E. (Partners for A Clean Environment) certified, use 100% wind power and meet all of Boulder's requirements regarding energy efficient lighting and water usage. It is important to us that we operate in a socially responsible, ethical manner and to be as low impact environmentally as possible. THINK GLOBALLY, ACT LOCALLY.
As we are a small business, we feel it is important to support other small businesses in our community as well by using their services wherever viable. With that in mind, most of the goods that we use or sell come from small/local businesses.
Our philosophy is to offer not only great tasting, sustainable coffees, but to also provide something unique for our customers as well. This approach to doing things differently—and, we feel, 'the right way'-- has led us to provide other favorites such as genuine Iced Toddy Coffee and Chai made from scratch as well as 25 varieties of loose leaf tea.
Folsom St. events include:
- 'East Coast Open Mic' : Poetry, Music & Spoken Word Performances. All content and expressions encouraged. Every Thursday Night. Sign up starts at 7:30 p.m. Open Mic begins at 8 p.m.
